Luncheon October 25, 2007

The next of the PASEF sponsored bi-monthly luncheons will be on Thursday, October 25, 2007. Ian Frank will guide a discussion of the human papillomavirus (HPV).

What is the goal of these luncheons? Actually there is no "goal" other than an opportunity to meet people from the many disciplines represented here at Penn and engage in talk, discussion and information exchange. While there will be occasional typical discussion guided by experts from our faculty, the hope is that the discussions will be illuminated by the broad insights of our senior and emeritus professors. In other words, the purpose of these get-togethers is to engage in learned, and occasionally not so learned, discourse.

All that is required of any attendee is the cost of the lunch (posted below) and an opinion on everything. As professors, the latter requirement is surely easy to meet.

If convenient, it would be helpful to indicate your interest in attending the luncheon by advising Jay N. Zemel at zemel@ee.upenn.edu so that in the event of a particularly popular topic or a large number of people wanting to attend, appropriate steps can be taken to provide seating.

Luncheon Lite (Soup/Salad and Sandwich)..................$6.90
