Please join us for PASEF’s annual Spring Outing on Thursday, May 15, 2014. This year's program offers participants three remarkable perspectives on our city of Philadelphia. In the morning, beginning at 10:30, Philadelphia's world-renowned Mural Arts Program will take us on a guided two-hour "trolley" tour of murals in West Philadelphia--a very different look at the University's neighborhood. The trolley tour will depart from and return to the historic Belmont Mansion in Fairmount Park. The Mansion features a spectacular view of the city's skyline across the green landscape of the park.
Following the tour, we will have an informal lunch in the Mansion, with catered box lunches. After lunch, you may linger to visit the Belmont Mansion's fascinating Underground Railroad Museum, which commemorates the Mansion's pre-Civil War history as an important link in the Underground Railroad by which escaped slaves journeyed north to freedom.
Full information about reservations, costs, and the three attractions will follow soon.
You will be able to sign up separately for the Mural Arts tour, the luncheon, and the Underground Railroad Museum,
but you can also bundle all three into a full day's outing, depending on your schedule and preferences.
Meanwhile, please hold the date!
