Dr. Abraham, Anesthesiology

Dr. Lillian E. Fredericks Abraham, retired faculty member in the School of Medicine, passed away March 14, 2010. She was 96 years old.

A native of Austria, Dr. Abraham graduated from Womanís Medical College of Pennsylvania in 1943. Dr. Abraham joined the Albert Einstein Medical Center, where she worked until her retirement in 1984 after 30 years of service.

In 1972, Dr. Abraham began teaching as a lecturer in the department of anesthesiology in Pennís School of Medicine. She retired in 1982 as an assistant professor.

Dr. Abraham is survived by her son, Richard; daughter, Carol Snowball; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
