The Senate Committee on Academic Freedom and Responsibility consists of ten members, including the Chair-Elect, and nine members of the Senate.
The Senate Committee on Academic Freedom and Responsibility maintains a list of the standing committees on academic freedom and responsibility of each of the faculties of the University. The Senate Committee on Academic Freedom and Responsibility advises and consults with these committees and administrative officers on the establishment of appropriate procedures to be followed in the event of a claim of violation of academic freedom or responsibility. The Senate Committee on Academic Freedom and Responsibility has the power to make investigations, reports, and recommendations on any matter relating to academic freedom and responsibility within the University.
