Fans
thronged the Graduate Student Center to watch the 2003 Cricket World Cup—despite
the fact that matches, held in South Africa, often started at 3 a.m. Here,
the crowd reacts during a semi-final match between India and Kenya. “For
students from cricket-playing countries, this is a really, really, really
big deal,” says Center director Anita Mastroieni CGS’99. “Bigger than
you can actually imagine.”
