Sweet Summer Celluloid What
could be better, on a warm summer night, than watching an old movie outside,
on the grass, in the moonlight? Every Thursday night this summer, through
its Moonlit Movies at Penn series, the College of General Studies screened
a vintage film, classic or otherwise, on the side of the newly renovated
Free Library building at 40th and Walnut streets. The image above is from
The Frozen Dead, a 1966 schlocker starring Dana Andrews as a mad
German scientist trying to resurrect the Third Reich by reviving a cadre
of frozen Nazis stored in meat lockers.
