Extreme Makeover High-Rise Renovations | Harrison College House is the latest residential high rise on campus to get a makeover. Completed over the summer, the $26.5 million renovation includes larger, energy-efficient windows, updated heating and ventilation, and new furniture (featuring classic designs by Ludwig Mies der Rohe, Harry Bertois, Eero Saarinen, and Massimo Vignelli).
The project also brings revamped and enlarged public spaces to the
building: a front lobby with a fireplace, a mail and package room,
a computer lab, a catering kitchen, an exercise room, two music-practice
rooms, a library, and two group-study rooms. Hamilton College House
received its makeover last year, and Harnwell College House will get
a new look for next fall.
