Funding Opportunities for Graduate Students
Penn's graduate programs generally
award successful Ph.D. applicants full
support (i.e. tuition, fees, health insurance and a maintenance
stipend.)
Most Ph.D. students are supported for five years, and many receive
support well into the dissertation years. Support may come from
a combination of
sources, including University fellowships, teaching assistantships,
research assistantships, and other types of awards, such as residential
graduate assistantships.
All funding awards are contingent upon the awardees' making satisfactory
progress.
