Alice J. Irby President Mrs. Irby is President of The Chauncey Group International, a wholly owned subsidiary of Educational Testing Service. The company provides certification and career development services to the professions, business and government, both domestically and internationally. Its lines of business include services to employers and employees in the corporate sector, programs for companies in information technology, certification and credit-by-examination in the government sector, and licensing/certification exams for professional associations. As Vice President of Educational Testing Service, Mrs. Irby directed the Center for Occupational and Professional Assessment (COPA). In this capacity, Mrs. Irby was responsible for development and implementation of assessment, training, and guidance products and services within workplace, military, professional and adult education environments. Prior to coming to COPA, Mrs. Irby served as the ETS Vice President in charge of Field Services. In this role, she directed Educational Testing Service's eight field offices. Activities included responsibility for state and federal government relations; contractual work with state agencies, universities and professional associations; marketing ETS products and services domestically and internationally; and providing technical assistance, program evaluation, and consulting services and activities. Mrs. Irby first came to ETS in 1962 as an Assistant Program Director in College Board Programs. She has held a variety of positions, including Director and Executive Director for Program Development. From 1972 to 1978, Mrs. Irby served as Vice President for Student Services at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Her responsibilities included admissions, financial aid, registration services, scheduling, space allocation and assignments, student health services, and government compliance functions in student services. Mrs. Irby's degrees are from the University of North Carolina and Duke University. She resides in Princeton, New Jersey. |
