Michael J. Kelly University Vice President Michael J. Kelly, Ph.D., LL.B., assumed position of University Vice President at Georgetown on September 1, 1991. Mr. Kelly received his B.A. (magna cum laude) from Princeton University (1959), his Ph.D. in History from King's College, Cambridge University (1964) and his LL.B. from Yale University School of Law (1967). Mr. Kelly served as an Attorney in the Office of the General Counsel of the Rouse Company from 1967-1970; he served as Counsel to the Mayor of Boston, and as an Assistant to two Mayors of Baltimore. In 1972, he joined the faculty of the University of Maryland School of Law, and in 1975 was appointed Dean, a position he held for sixteen years. Mr. Kelly has served on numerous professional and community boards and presently serves as Chairman of DTI, a non-profit group which provides human resources training for community-based economic development organizations. He was a Trustee of Princeton University from 1980 to 1984. He has published numerous legal articles and most recently a book entitled Lives of Lawyers. |
