Jim Neal is Sheridan Director of the Milton S. Eisenhower Library at Johns Hopkins University. He is currently president-elect of the Association of Research Libraries and on the Executive Board of the American Library Association. He represented the American Library community at the recent WIPO Copyright Treaty Conference in Geneva. He serves on the Board of Project Muse, an initiative to publish electronically the journals of the Hopkins Press. He was recently selected by ACRL as the Academic/Research Librarian of the Year for 1997.
