Clement F. Shearer

Clement F. Shearer is Dean for Budget and Planning at Carleton College. He received an A.B. in Geological Science from Brown University and Ph.D. in Earth Sciences from the U. of California at Santa Cruz. He was an American Association for the Advancement of Science Congressional Science Fellow on the staff of U.S. Congressman George Brown, Jr. Prior to his current position, he served as Deputy Assistant Director for Engineering Geology in the U.S. Geological Survey. Current duties include leadership and management of the College's operating budget and long-range planning; and oversight of the Library, Academic Computing and Networking Services, Student Financial Services, Institutional Research, Media Services, the Archives and the College's arboretum.
