From Convocation to Commencement. From the opening of Penn Park to the $225 million Perelman gift, the largest in the University's history. From the Glee Club's 150th anniversary to a visit from Supreme Court Associate Justice Sonia Sotomayor to dedicate Penn's newest Law School building. This was a year of tradition and transformation at Penn.
The Penn community welcomed distinguished guests, such as Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr., First Lady Michelle Obama, authors Toni Morrison and John Barth, Peggy Noonan, Alan Simpson, Edward G. Rendell and Michael Nutter, among many others.
