Students

The Huntsman Program recruits students from throughout the world. Admission is competitive with a target class size of approximately 45 students. Currently, the total number of students is 206, representing 33 countries throughout the world and 30 states throughout the United States. The first Huntsman class graduated in May 1998.

Although recruited from diverse backgrounds, all Huntsman students share a desire for a dynamic professional education and an understanding of the economic, political and social changes occurring throughout the world. They arrive prepared to take advanced language courses to strengthen their basic linguistic skills; to develop an understanding of the culture, the political and social institutions in an area of the world in which their target language is spoken; and to acquire the professional skills required to work effectively in the global economy of the 21st century.
