Biosketch:
Seth C. Kalichman received his Ph.D. in Clinical-Community Psychology from the University of South Carolina in 1990. He is a Professor in the Psychology Department at the University of Connecticut and has previously been on the faculties of Loyola University of Chicago, Georgia State University, and the Medical College of Wisconsin. He dedicates his time to conducting HIV-AIDS research, focusing on developing and testing behavioral interventions to improve coping, mental health, and the health of people living with HIV infection. He was the 1997 recipient of the Distinguished Scientific Award for Early Career Contribution to Psychology in Health, awarded by the American Psychological Association. He is an Associate Editor of the journal Health Psychology and the author of four books about AIDS.
