LDI Senior Fellow Olivia Mitchell, Wharton Professor of Insurance and Risk Management, will serve on the new commission that will advise the President on reforming Social Security.
John Kimberly, PhD to lead alliance of two top business schools in global management education.
LDI Senior Fellow John Kimberly, Wharton Professor of Management and Health Care Systems is the executive director of a new alliance between Wharton and INSEAD, Europes's leading business school. The alliance will offer global customized executive education and open enrollment programs at the schools' four dedicated campuses in the U.S., Europe and Asia.

When Data Conflict with Practice: Rethinking the Use of Prophylactic Antibiotics before Dental Treatment, by Brian Strom, MD, MPH
Research: John Mullahy, PhD of the University of Wisconsin summarized research on children's utilization of prescription drugs. His findings suggest that health insurance and access to health care are important determinants of prescription drug use in children.

Educational Session held at American Pharmaceutical Association's Annual Meeting. Kathy Pearson, PhD, LDI Senior Fellow and Director of LDI's Healthcare Management Executive Education Programs, participated in the session entitled, "Best Practices: Identification and Transfer of Knowledge" on March 18, 2001 in San Francisco. The AphA cosponsors the GlaxoSmithKline Executive Management Program for Pharmacy Leaders, which is held at LDI in the fall.
