Meet the Dean and undergraduate chairs, and learn about various majors, interdisciplinary programs, and new areas of study. Light refreshments will be served.

Welcome to the College Events
11am-3:30pm

You will begin the day with one of two sessions (your Peer Advisor will let you know which):

  • Welcome to the College, an introduction to the Arts and Sciences curriculum with the College Dean, or
  • Road Map session, where Peer Advisors will escort you around campus to acquaint you with academic departments, academic support programs, and other resources.

After lunch, attend the session you did not attend in the morning.

Pre-Major Advising
9am-5pm
Scheduled advising appointments with pre-major advisors. Contact your advisor if you have not set up an appointment. Boxed lunches will be provided; check with your Peer Advisor for details. Note: Meeting with your advisor takes priority over Proseminars.

Departmental Meetings

Each of the six Engineering departments hosts a meeting with incoming freshmen regarding advising within the department, major requirements, student activities, and resources available to students. Students are encouraged to attend the meeting of their intended major.
Penn Engineering Freshman Picnic

This day is set aside for you to have an opportunity to meet with your assigned Faculty Advisor. Appointments and meeting times are being set up throughout this day. At the Dean's meeting on Friday September 1, you will be informed about the times that your Advisor is available to meet with you.
