This proseminar offers a chance to explore both of those questions. The proseminar also discusses how to learn about a career in law, when a person should go to law school, and routes or degrees that may offer a better way toward accomplishing specific goals or careers.

In her 2004 inaugural address, President Gutmann launched the Penn Compact, her strategic vision to propel Penn from "excellence to eminence." Over the last four years, the Compact's vision has thrust Penn forward in increasing access for the most talented students, regardless of socioeconomic background, recruiting and retaining exceptional faculty who integrate knowledge across multiple disciplines, and making Penn a powerful transformational force throughout the Philadelphia region and around the globe. Come join President Gutmann for a discussion about the Penn Compact and its core priorities and consider how you can be an important part of this exciting time in Penn's history.
