All Family Events are scheduled for the afternoons of Wednesday, September 2 and Thursday, September 3. After that time, students will be very busy with orientation events, so parents are strongly encouraged to depart Thursday evening to allow students to adjust to their new surroundings.

Highball to Hey Day: The Penn Experience 4pm-5pm

Join us for an entertaining and interactive look at Penn’s history and traditions, followed by a reception. Parents are welcome! All participants receive a free Class of 2013 t-shirt. A repeat performance is given for students on Sunday, September 6.

Penn Parent Orientation Panel 3pm

Penn experts will provide an overview of relevant issues including College Houses, safety, and finances at this interactive session designed primarily for parents.
Location: Irvine Auditorium


Creating a Strong Financial Identity 3pm

Penn experts offer an informative session, designed primarily for students, on managing money, protecting privacy, and preventing identity theft. Parents are welcome.

President and Provost’s Welcome and Reception 4:15pm

President Amy Gutmann and Provost Vince Price welcome Penn families from the steps of College Hall. Immediately afterward, families are invited to an informal reception on Wynn Commons in Perelman Quad, directly behind College Hall. Everyone is invited to mingle with the President and Provost, Penn faculty and staff, and representatives from the College Houses, Penn Parents Program, and fellow Penn families.
