Pooja Agarwal is Associate Director, Legal Affairs of the Penn Center for Innovation, as well as an Associate General Counsel of the University of Pennsylvania.
Ms. Agarwal assists the Penn community in the licensing and commercialization of Penn's technology and inventions and other IP issues that relate to technology transfer. Prior to her role on the legal team, Ms. Agarwal drafted and negotiated research agreements as part of the Corporate Contracts team at Penn’s Office of Research Services and later at PCI.
Before joining Penn, Ms. Agarwal was a corporate transactional lawyer at large international law firms in New York and Philadelphia. She also served as a Mintz Levin pro bono fellow at the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society of Pennsylvania working with Philadelphia-area immigrants in various legal capacities such as U-Visa, Asylum, TPS and VAWA applications.
Ms. Agarwal attended Columbia University (B.A., 2002) where she studied economics, philosophy and computer science. She received her law degree from Brooklyn Law School (J.D., 2008). She is currently enrolled in an LL.M. program at Penn Law School, focusing her coursework in Intellectual Property and Regulatory Law.
