Notary Services

The Office of the General Counsel provides notary public services in connection with official University of Pennsylvania and Penn Medicine business. Please contact our administrative receptionist at (215) 746-5200 or click here to arrange a document notarization by a member of our staff. Please note, in compliance with authority under state law, the requestor must produce valid picture identification issued by either a federal or state agency. The identification document must contain both photograph and signature. You may also be asked to present an official University of Pennsylvania or Penn Medicine identification card.

Legal Referrals

The Office of the General Counsel cannot provide legal advice or representation to individual members of the University of Pennsylvania or Penn Medicine community regarding matters of a personal nature, such as divorce, wills and landlord tenant issues. In addition, the Office of General Counsel does not provide advice in matters unrelated to University business or to individuals whose interests are or may be adverse to the United States.
