The Office of Commonwealth Relations serves as the University’s liaison to state executive and legislative offices on all pertinent legislative, regulatory and public policy issues. The office advocates in Harrisburg in support of policies consistent with the University’s mission; manages programs aimed at maintenance of the University’s annual Commonwealth appropriation; explores new state funding opportunities; serves as a liaison for the University with education and health organizations at the state level; and, in coordination with the University of Pennsylvania Health System Government Relations office, monitors and provides direction on Commonwealth policies regarding health care education, reimbursement and delivery. The Office works very closely with the Philadelphia area delegation and leadership from across the Commonwealth.
