The Office serves as PENN Medicine’s representative and liaison with federal, state, and local government; building relationships with both legislative and executive branch officials on behalf of PENN Medicine which includes both the School of Medicine and the Health System. The Office assesses policy developments, seeks opportunities for PENN Medicine to assist in the education of elected and appointed officials in matters affecting biomedical research, education and patient care, and formulates PENN Medicine policy positions.
