Online Appointment Scheduler

Welcome to the International Student and Scholar Services Online Appointment Scheduler. If this is your first time using the application, please read the instructions below before proceeding. If you are ready to make an appointment now, use the link below.

Instructions

Authentication/Authorization

The Online Appointment Scheduler is available only to the University of Pennsylvania community. A user must have a valid PennKey to gain access to the application. Use of another person's PennKey is a very serious offense. Please do not attempt to make an appointment using another person's PennKey, even after obtaining permission to do so.

For more information on obtaining a PennKey, visit: http://www.upenn.edu/computing/pennkey/. School of Medicine, UPHS and CHOP affiliates should call 215-573-INFO or send an email to medhelp@mail.med.upenn.edu.

Registering User Information

After successfully authenticating with a PennKey, users will be directed to the Online Appointment Scheduler. First time users will be asked to supply contact information. A valid phone number and email address must be provided. This contact information is necessary for ISSS to notify users concerning the status of appointments.

Making an Appointment

The interface is simple and allows users to select and confirm appointments easily. There is a time limit, however, and if the application is left unattended, the user will be logged out automatically and will need to reauthenticate. Failure to act quickly might also allow another user to reserve the desired timeslot.

After confirming an appointment, the user will receive an email notification at the address provided during registration. Users that do not receive notification should verify that the address is correct in the user profile and update it, if necessary.

After successfully making an appointment, users should close the browser window to log out. This will prevent any other users from gaining access to the session, especially in public places, such as libraries or Internet kiosks.

Canceling an Appointment

If it is necessary to cancel an appointment, please use the Online Scheduler to do so, in order to free the timeslot for other users.

Acceptable Use

There is a limit to the number of pending appointments a user may have at one time. Attempts to bypass this limit will jeopardize a user's right to use the Online Appointment Scheduler.

Please do not make unnecessary appointments. Users that excessively cancel appointments or fail to appear will be barred permanently from the system.
