Study Abroad Perspective

1st Place: Ghanaian Beach Boys
- Location: Busua, Ghana
- Description: This photo was taken on the
western coast of Ghana, near the small village of Busua.
To get to a backpackers hostel near this beach, I had to
hire villagers to take me across a small river on their canoe.
These two young boys were some of the children that took
me across.

3rd Place: Cerro Fitz Roy
- Location: Cerro Fitz Roy, El Chalten,
Argentina
- Description: I spent a week traveling
by myself in Patagonia. My first full day was spent in El
Chalten hiking to Cerro Fitz Roy. Usually there is bad weather,
but I lucked out with maybe the most gorgeous day of the
year. At this point in the hike, there was still about 2.5
hours to go, but I spent half an hour just staring at the
mountain from where I took this photo.

3rd Place: The Wholy Cheese Steak
- Location: Philadelphia
- Description: It was fun to be introduced
by an American friend to the Philadelphia cheese steak war:
Pat's vs. Geno's. I was told that you have to pick one of
them and be loyal to it for the rest of your life. According
to him, respecting this rule is a matter of family honor.
