The Penn Institute for Urban Research is a platform for an integrated urban knowledge base. It informs practices related to urbanism through the multi-disciplinary approach that is the University of Pennsylvania’s specialty. To do so the Penn IUR draws upon the University of Pennsylvania’s 12 different schools for its Faculty Associates program. A mechanism for collegial interchange and growth, we have created a real and virtual community of urbanists.
