The International Council of Shopping Centers' Educational Foundation
The International Council of Shopping Centers' Educational Foundation is requesting proposals for research funding in 2005. In general, grants will be made to full-time faculty members at degree-granting institutions. The end product for the grant recipient will be a formal research paper, and projects receiving grants may be published in the Journal of Shopping Center Research.

The Eleventh Annual International Conference of the Coalition of Urban and Metropolitan Universities (CUMU) includes a call for papers focusing on the conferenceís theme, "Urban and Metropolitan Universities in Tomorrow's Economy." Priority will be given to presentations/panels that address the key challenges faced by leaders I urban and metropolitan universities under the headings of academic affairs, institutional advancement, government relations, and marketing, and student affairs.

European Social Science History Conference
The bi-annual European Social Science History Conference in Amsterdam, The Netherlands includes a call for papers for a session on city authorities and unrest, 1500-2000. The focus of the session is to compare the way in which city authorities have dealt with public unrest from early modern till present times. Although the role of the rioters themselves has to be taken into account, the papers should primarily focus on the role of city authorities.

Spatial Perspectives on Analysis for Curriculum Enhancement (SPACE) Workshops
SPACE summer workshops are intended for intended for instructors of undergraduate students in the social sciences. They offer content knowledge in methods of special analysis, instructional resources, and professional development support for curriculum planning and learning assessment. The workshops are located in San Francisco, CA, Columbus, OH, and Santa Barbara, CA.
