Help for families

A new program offers faculty, staff and their immediate families confidential assistance with family and dependent care issues, announced Jack Heuer, vice president of Human Resources.

The free service, LifeBalance®, offers telephone consultation, information, resources and community referrals. Help is offered for parenting concerns, education concerns and helping older relatives. The service addresses issues from adopting a child to dealing with teenagers, from selecting a school to improving study skills, from dealing with disabilities to understanding Medicare.

An experienced consultant with a master's degree is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, toll-free at 1-888-203-6847, to provide information and connect callers with resources, community services and experts.
