  • NEW SCOTTISH ART: Contemporary works by 21 members of the Society of Scottish Artists go on display in this exhibit, a departure from Arthur Ross Gallery tradition. New inventions from Scotland

Long known for their bagpipes and whisky, the Scottish can also lay claim to provocative art, as the Society of Scottish Artists has been demonstrating for 117 years. A new exhibit at the Arthur Ross Gallery this summer displays new works by 21 Society members, such as Gwyneth Leech, whose "Four Storeys" is pictured here. See Saturday, June 6.

  • JUNIOR TENNIS CAMP: Hal Mackin, head professional manager at the Levy Tennis Pavilion, and former Swarthmore head coach Albert Dillon lead one-week instructional camps for youth ages 6 to 16. 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Levy Tennis Pavilion, 3120 Walnut St. (behind Class of 1923 Rink).
