The fabulous Philadelphian
At home, on tour, on record, and on radio and TV, Eugene Ormandy made the Philadelphia Orchestra into an international symbol with his plush “Philadelphia sound.” The University of Pennsylvania Library celebrates the centennial of his birth with an exhibit of Ormandy memorabilia. The exhibit runs through Dec. 17 in Kamin Gallery, first floor, Van Pelt-Dietrich Library Center, 3420 Walnut St., during regular library hours. Admission free; photo ID required.
