So heres our salute to one who has been: Officer Perditha Watson of the University Police Department, who was featured as the Officer of the Week on WTXF-TVs Fox 10 OClock News Jan. 8. Keep up the good work, and be careful out there. Congratulations and good luck youll need it: Heres a tip of the Buzz hat to Pedro Ramos (C87), the native son who worked his way from North Philly to Penn, and now has what may be one of the most difficult jobs in town: chairman of the Board of Education, which oversees the School District of Philadelphia. Ramos is the first Hispanic and youngest-ever board chair. A bigger rehab job: Now that shes helped Penn employees fix up University City, Diane-Louise Wormley is expanding her horizons. The former managing director of community housing will head a new initiative at the University City District to promote preservation and maintenance of the neighborhoods residential and commercial properties. Vice President for Business Services Lee Nunery will now oversee Penns ongoing West Philadelphia housing initiatives.
