Before they see a single patient,
even before their very first class, entering medical students don
white coats. That’s Stacey Garfield receiving hers from School
of Medicine Vice Dean Gail Morrison, M.D., as part of the school’s
Class of 2004 “White Coat Ceremony” Aug. 15 in Stemmler
Hall. In addition to receiving their white coats, the incoming medical
students were also officially inducted into the profession by reciting
its creed, the Hippocratic Oath.
