A new secretary of the University was named as of Sept. 18, President Judith Rodin said.

Leslie Kruhly moves from her former post as associate director of development and special events at the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology.

“I’m thrilled,” Kruhly said. “I’m going to miss the museum tremendously but am looking forward to the new position. I’m hoping to bring my 20 years of working in education with trustees and with governing boards.”

Kruhly has been responsible for all development and fundraising activities and special events there since 1997, overseeing the Museum’s successful $17 million fundraising campaign for construction of the new state-of-the-art Mainwaring Wing.

“She is a superb administrator with a broad knowledge of higher education and its challenges,” Rodin said.
