Fave
clubs
Somewhere out there, is a club or campus organization for everyone. You
can visit dolphin.upenn.edu/~oslaf/orgmain.html
to help you find yours, and you can read our random sample, which includes
some not listed on the web page.
DAN MATISOFF,
COLLEGE 02
Red and Blue Crew. Its the basketball boosters club. I really
enjoy going to basketball games, and they organize a lot of that stuff.
ANNE MORGANTI,
COLLEGE 03
The Field Hockey Club. It gives girls a chance to play without the
pressure [of organized team sports] and just for fun.
NEIL CHATTERJEE,
WHARTON AND ENGINEERING, 02
Wharton Investment Club. Im into stocks and trading and it
really helps a lot.
LINDA OH,
COLLEGE, 02
I like Mosaic [Magazine, Penns Asian American
Magazine] because its a small club and it affords the opportunity
for people to really get to know each other.
DANA ANDERSON,
COLLEGE 01
Quadramics. When they create theater, its about the experience
and the social aspect. Theyre a really good groupits
nice, its like a little family.
CYNTHIA
HSU, COLLEGE 04
Im not in that many activities on campus, but I would say
Living Water [Christian Fellowship]. Theyre like a second family.
They offer a lot of support, and theyre very nice.
GERALD TAM,
WHARTON 01
Penn Musicians Against Homelessness, because its for a good
cause, and its a great chance for people who love music to get together
with their friends.
GEOFF OWENS,
COLLEGE 01
Without a Net. I really like improv comedy, and I think they do
a really good job of it.
WU-KWAN
KIT, COLLEGE 02
I guess Strictly Funk. Theyre a dance group, and my two roommates
are in it.
KITTY OHARE,
SCHOOL OF MEDICINE
Arrhythmia, the Med School a capella group. Im the music directorof it, and were teaching people there about music. We do community
service, sing in the Penn community and at social functions.
WADE JOHANNESSEN,
ENGINEERING PhD
Counterparts. I love a capella, and theyre the best!
HALLIE ENG,
WHARTON 01
[Penn] Ballroom [Society], because I really like dancing and its
only $20 a semester, really cheap compared to private lessons. They have
a lot of variety of classes and keep you updated on dancing opportunities
at or around Penn that you dont have to be 21 to get into.
BING MEI,
COLLEGE 01
Probably Tae Kwon Do Club, because you get culture and athletics.
I think the people there are very focused and very nice.
