The chemistry of learning
|
High school and middle school science teachers from the region are
learning better ways to teach chemistry and science in a unique
two-year Master of Chemistry Education program, a collaboration
between the chemistry department, the Graduate School of Education
and school districts in the region. MCE students Bill Schneider
and Octavia Blount, who teach in Philadelphia public schools, were
comparing the chemical composition of unknown substances to aspirin
during a lab in November.
