Spring suds shine

pic

The nectar of the gods? Michael Jackson would argue that beer deserves the sobriquet.

Spring is here, which means our thoughts turn to beer.

OK, not really—sunshine and flowers are more like it. But Michael Jackson’s annual KitchenAid Book and the Cook Festival beer events at the University of Pennsylvania Museum are as much a sign of spring as the cherry blossoms and the return of the songbirds.

The internationally-known expert on craft brewing hosts a three-course dinner Friday evening, March 22, featuring food from Museum Catering, paired with beers specially selected by Jackson.

The following day, it’s the 12th annual Beer Tasting with Michael Jackson, featuring samples of more than 100 specialty brews from around the world.

Guests must be at least 21 years old to attend these events.
