WHAT THEY DO: The groundskeepers keep Penns campus
green, planting annual flowers and shrubs in 10 acres of flowerbeds,
mowing, seeding and sodding 30 acres of lawn, and pruning hundreds
of trees. In addition to routine maintenance such as spring planting
in May, shown here, they also handle event-related and specific
requests, such as trash and debris cleanup after events or individual
plantings.
