AWARDS & HONORS

Five Penn scientists—Elias Burstein, Helen Conrad Davies, Peter Dodson, Eli Glatstein and R. Scott Poethig—are among 291 newly named fellows of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, which works to advance human well-being through projects in science policy, education and international cooperation. This honor recognizes their research contributions in optical physics, microbiology, vertebrate paleontology, radiation oncology and plant biology.

PoliticalCircus.com, a Web site focusing on Asian Pacific American politics and news, gave Pan-Asian American Community House Director Ajay T. Nair an honorable mention on its list of the 30 most influential Asian Pacific Americans under 30.
