Tutu to speakArchbishop Desmond Tutu will speak at the Universitys 247th Commencement in May. The first black secretary general of the South African Council of Churches, Tutu won a Nobel Peace Prize in 1984 for his work against apartheid. He is the author of several books, including No Future Without Forgiveness and The Rainbow People of God. Bye-bye, ah-choosArm yourself against snuffles with an on-campus flu shot, arranged by Human Resources for Penn faculty and staff. Occupational Medicine will administer the inoculations Nov. 15 and Nov. 18, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and Nov. 19, 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Pre-registration is required. Human Resources Snow Day Child Care program is available for the children of University faculty and staff, aged 12 weeks through 12 years. The service, which runs from Dec. 2 through Mar. 28, 2003, will operate during those times when Penn is open but city schools are closed due to inclement weather. Children in other school districts are also welcome. Snow Day Child Care runs from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Penn Childrens Center. To participate, you must pre-enroll.
