The songs of Tin Pan Alley put a brave face on the Great Depression. Paul Taylor’s “Black Tuesday,” making its Philly premiere in a Dance Celebration/Penn Presents concert Dec. 5-7, captures both the optimistic spirit of the music and the desperate spirit of the times. See Thursday, Dec. 5.
