- The

A decade of effort to bring the University of Pennsylvania
Museums classical galleries into the present has finally borne fruit,
and nobody could be more pleased than the man in charge of them, Donald

EDITOR'S PICK
Ancient worlds come to
life
The Vagabonds
in the gallery: (top, left to right) An Etruscan priestess
(Kate Giesermer), a Roman senator (Leonard Kelly), the Goddess
Athena (Rose Evans) and (bottom) the slave who travels
through all three worlds (Jason Stockdale).

The folks at the University of Pennsylvania Museum have thought of everything
when it comes to getting you into their new permanent exhibit, Worlds
Intertwined: Etruscans, Greeks and Romans. Theyve even acquired
a slave to guide you through the galleries. And as he takes you through
three civilizations, you will meet an anxious Etruscan priestess, a jealous
Goddess Athena and a senator bent on restoring the Roman Republic.
All of these people come courtesy the Vagabond Acting Troupe, which specializes
in experimental, educational and site-specific interactive theater. The
Museum commissioned the Vagabond troupe to develop Three Worlds
Intertwined specifically for the exhibit.
