We’re going to war!
“Duck Soup” tells the tale of the mayhem that ensues after Rufus T. Firefly (Groucho Marx, third from left) is named president of bankrupt Freedonia in exchange for a $20 million cash infusion from wealthy dowager Mrs. Teasdale. Firefly’s pursuit of Teasdale’s hand ultimately leads to war in this classic Marx Brothers comedy, being screened outdoors at International House. See Friday, June 13.

CAN YOU HEAR US NOW?: “History through Deaf Eyes” chronicles how deaf Americans lived, worked and learned over two centuries. Opening reception: 5 to 8 p.m. at the Arthur Ross Gallery, 220 S. 34th St. Exhibit continues through July 28.

HAIL FREEDONIA: The 1933 classic “Duck Soup” features the Marx Brothers at their zaniest as they send up 1930s musicals, Paul Revere’s ride, international politics and more. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs for a special free outdoor screening. 8:30 p.m. at International House, 3701 Chestnut St.

JAZZ AL FRESCO: Free concerts at University Square feature jazz, blues and Latin sounds from the John Breslin Jazz Band, Amor Tropical, Swing Shift Jazz Band and Arpeggio Jazz Ensemble. 5 to 7 p.m. at 36th and Walnut streets, weather permitting.

MOONLIT MOVIES: Bring your favorites snacks and comfortable seats for a night of classic flicks under the stars, including an episode of the 1942 cliffhanger serial “Gang Busters.” 9 p.m. on the field behind the Free Library at 40th and Walnut streets (rain date: the following Sunday).
