Authors of Italian Cinema” festival opens with Damian Pettigrew’s “Io
Sono Un Gran Bugiardo” (“Fellini, I Am a Born Liar,” 2003),
his conversation with Federico Fellini a year before the legendary filmmaker’s

The American École
des Beaux-Arts
Paul Philippe Cret, trained at Paris’ École des Beaux-Arts,
quickly turned Penn’s architecture program into one of this country’s
premier architecture schools. “The Beaux-Arts at Penn,” at
the Architectural Archives, 210 S. 34th St., through May, pays tribute
to Cret and his legacy. Among the works on display is this rendering
of a never-built memorial to Robert Fulton. Gallery hours: 10 a.m. to
5 p.m. weekdays, weekends by appointment.
