Children’s theater showcase returns


The International Showcase of Performing Arts for Young People returns to Penn’s Annenberg Center for its 26th edition Jan. 21-24. This international market for children’s theater and creative arts brings programming professionals and artists together to sample offerings and discuss the state of performing arts for youth today. Showcase performances are also open to the general public; info on the performances will appear in our next issue. Conference registration $225 before Jan. 1, $275 thereafter. “Natural Design in Context: Intimate to Grand” is the theme of the Morris Arboretum’s 14th Annual Symposium on Landscape Design, held at Villanova University Jan. 27-28. This event for landscape architects and designers, horticulturalists, ecologists, artists, gardeners and other plant industry professionals features talks on environmentally sensitive landscaping, allowing people and wildlife to coexist, roadside vegetation and more.
