Here are some highlights for Thursday, April 29 through Saturday, May 1:

Thursday, April 29

  • JAMIE ADKINS IN TYPO: In this touching spectacle, Adkins begins at his typewriter and ends up on an adventure through his imagination. 10 a.m. at Zellerbach Theatre. Ages 4 and up.
  • JABALI ACROBATS: This Kenyan troupe combines African and Chinese acrobatic traditions to create a fast-paced show with tumbling, jumping and dancing. Noon at Harold Prince Theatre. Ages 4 and up.

Friday, April 30

  • STARS OF THE PEKING ACROBATS: This dazzling show features acrobatic displays, Kung Fu, brilliant costumes and Chinese comedy. 10 a.m. at Zellerbach Theatre. Ages 4 and up.
  • MARK JASTER: The offbeat clown portrays a silent jester in “A Fool Named ‘O.’” Noon at Studio Theatre. Ages 6 and up.

Saturday, May 1

  • KALETA: A CHILDREN’S FESTIVAL: The Halloween-like West African festival of Kaleta, in which children dress up as lions, zebras and other animals, comes to life on stage. 10 a.m. at Harold Prince Theatre. Ages 4 and up.
  • BAM—THE BLUE BARREL SHOW: Using everyday objects as drums, this Canadian troupe cooks up deliriously funny sketches in this Stomp for kids. Noon at Iron Gate Theatre. Ages 4 and up

  • JACK-FIVE-OH: A funny and entertaining play that uses shadow puppets, costumes, special effects and giant heads to bring authentic Newfoundland fairy tales to life. 2 p.m. at Iron Gate Theatre.
