APPOINTMENTS Renowned designer and structural engineer Cecil Balmond has joined the faculty of Penn Design as the Paul Philippe Cret Professor of Architecture. Balmond has collaborated with architect Rem Koolhaas on his projects at Villa Bordeaux in France and the Kunsthal Rotterdam Museum, and with Penn architecture professor Daniel Libeskind on London’s Victoria and Albert Museum and Imperial War Museum. In his five-year appointment at Penn, Balmond will teach geometry and an advanced design studio. |
