In “From Rio to Brotherly Love,” International House Philadelphia exhibits the work of Daniel Gafanhoto, a fine-art photographer who photographs and processes cityscapes, including Philadelphia’s, in a distinct and personal way. To mark half a century as one of the leading contemporary art museums in the world, the exhibition “ICA@50: Pleasing Artists and Publics Since 1963” animates the Institute of Contemporary Art’s past and propels it into the future. The ICA is celebrating the anniversary by examining lesser-known moments in contemporary art, engage today’s artists, commission new projects, and move toward the unknown.
