The Institute of Contemporary Art presents “Moyra Davey: Burn the Diaries,” a new body of work by Davey based on the artist’s recent reading of Jean Genet. Moving between photography, writing, and film, Davey’s highly personal and methodical work draws deeply on the form of the essay. FROM WAR TO HOME

The exhibit, “From War to Home: Through the Veteran’s Lens,” showcases the images and words of 40 veterans of the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. The show, funded by the Veterans Administration, provides a window into the impact of military service on health and the stress of making the transition back to civilian life. HOW TO MAKE A NATIVE AMERICAN QUILT

“Creating: Quilts of the Lakota” presents more than 20 eye-dazzling quilts from the Pine Ridge Heritage Center and Indian Reservation in South Dakota.
