OF SERVICE: 20 years, the last 9 months with Penn Video Network
(PVN). WHAT HE DOES: PVN Director Gates Rhodes helps various Penn
departments acquire video to meet their communications objectives,
whether they be instructional, research, clinical or promotional.
With Mayuni Hirtzel (left) and Christopher Cook (right),
Rhodes also helps produce videos, which range from a simple recording
of a special event to projects requiring a fully-developed script,
storyboard, cast of performers and location preparation. PVN operates
the campus cable TV network and distributes video through the network
