Penn Athletics is set to roll out an eye-catching new logo this fall. The revamped design, an update of the familiar split “P”, will be on display at Franklin Field and the Palestra this fall and on many team uniforms by next year.
The logo also appears on a new selection of replicas of Penn basketball uniforms and other workout gear, available for purchase by mid-month, says Sharlene Sones, director of marketing and product development for Business Services.
The new design, created with input from groups across campus, is intended to convey action and energy, as well as reflect Penn’s historic past. “We haven’t strayed too far from the image and the look that people identify with Penn,” says Andy Biello, associate director of athletics for external affairs.
